十四、through的譯法
1. 指空間，可譯為“通過”、“穿過”。如：
* The particles went straight through the metal foil.
粒子筆直地穿過了金屬箔。
2. 指方法、手段、途徑，可譯為“經(jīng)由”、“以”等。如：
* Hardware designers may be able to cut costs through loading the digital signal processing with multiple tasks.?
硬件設(shè)計(jì)師可以通過給數(shù)字信號(hào)處理賦予多種任務(wù)來降低成本。
3. 表示原因，可譯為“因?yàn)椤?、“由于”等。如?/p>
* The smelting reduction process saves energy and lessens pollution through using of ore fines without any pretreatment and agglomeration.
由于使用無需任何預(yù)處理和造塊的礦粉，熔融還原法既可節(jié)能，又能減少污染。
十五、to的譯法
1. 表示方向、距離、位置、程度等，可譯為“向”、“住”、“到”、“達(dá)到”等，也可以靈活處理。如：
* The seller shall present the following documents to the negotiation bank for payment.
要求付款時(shí)，銷售方應(yīng)向議付銀行提交下列單據(jù)。
2. 表示范圍，常與表示限制含義的動(dòng)詞limit, restrict, confine等連用，可譯為“限于，局限于”。如：
* Success has been limited to minor sectors of high-pressure piping.
良好的效果只限于高壓管道部分。
3. 表示事物之間的相互關(guān)系、關(guān)聯(lián)，可譯為“對(duì)……而言”、“對(duì)于”、“與”、“和” 等。如：
* Compressors work by throwing out data unimportant to the overall quality of the image.
壓縮程序刪除那些對(duì)圖像整體質(zhì)量無足輕重的數(shù)據(jù)。
