1. 針灸 針灸的譯語(yǔ)acupuncture and moxibustion業(yè)已國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化。但因詞形偏長(zhǎng)，使用時(shí)多有不變。為了簡(jiǎn)化起見，我們可以將這兩個(gè)術(shù)語(yǔ)掐頭去尾組合成acumoxi這樣一個(gè)較為簡(jiǎn)潔的譯語(yǔ)。作為一個(gè)構(gòu)詞成份，acu-已在中醫(yī)英語(yǔ)上約定俗成地用以指acupuncture，由其構(gòu)成的許多譯語(yǔ)現(xiàn)已廣為流行，如acupoint (穴位)，acutherapy (針刺療法）等等。近年來(lái)，國(guó)內(nèi)外已有不少譯者采用acumoxi翻譯“針灸”，收到了比較好的交際效果。
2. 針法 可譯為acupuncture，與其相關(guān)的術(shù)語(yǔ)的譯法如下：
進(jìn)針 inserting the needle
運(yùn)針 manipulating the needle
搗針 thrusting the needle
彈針 vibrating the needle
留針 retaining the needle
搓針 rotating the needle
搖針 shaking the needle
循針 guiding the needle
退針 retreating the needle
出針 withdrawing the needle
3.十二刺 指古代應(yīng)用的十二種刺法，可譯為twelve acu techniques，與其相關(guān)的術(shù)語(yǔ)的譯法如下：
報(bào)刺 trigger puncture
偶刺 paired puncture
恢刺 lateral puncture
齊刺 triple puncture
揚(yáng)刺 quintuple puncture
直針剌 perpendicular puncture
短刺 short puncture
浮刺 superficial puncture
陰剌 yin puncture
傍針刺 straight-side puncture
贊刺 repeated shallow puncture
4. 灸法 通譯為moxibustion，近年來(lái)雖有人提出了其它一些譯法，但未能得到大家的接受，常見的灸法有以下幾種：
直接灸 direct moxibustion
間接灸 indirect moxibustion
瘢痕灸 scarring moxibustion
回旋灸 mobile moxibustion
溫和灸 warm moxibustion
冷灸 cold moxibustion
雀啄灸 sparrow-pecking moxibustion
