2. 轉(zhuǎn)譯為副詞
有時動詞還可以轉(zhuǎn)譯為漢語的副詞。
* These new process systems with prereduction, final reduction and melting, CO2 absorption and heat exchangers tend to be too complex and expensive.
這些具有預(yù)還原、終還原、熔化、ニ氧化碳吸收和熱交換器的新エ藝系統(tǒng)往往太復(fù)雜和太昂貴。
* If a metal spoon is put into a hot liquid, the end out of the liquid gets warm.
如果把金屬湯匙放入熱的液體中，露在液體外的一端會漸漸地?zé)崞饋怼?/p>
四、省譯
作謂語動詞大多數(shù)是不可省譯的。但為了使譯文符合漢語的表達習(xí)慣，有時英語中的ー些動詞是可以省譯的。如：
* Like a good pair of sun glasses, the ozone layer acts like a natural filter, blocking?out most of the sun's harmful UV rays.
和優(yōu)質(zhì)的太陽鏡一祥，臭氧層如同一張?zhí)烊坏倪^濾膜，屏蔽了太陽發(fā)出的有害的紫外 線。（省譯了 acts)
* Electrical discharge machining has proved especially valuable in the machining super-touch, electrically conductive materials.
電火花加工法對加工超韌性的導(dǎo)電材料特別有價值。（省譯了 has proved )
* A wave model is considered as a good model of the way in which light behaves.
波動模型是說明光的性能的一個很好的模型。（省譯了 is considered)
there be句型是英語中ー種特有的句型，有時只是出于結(jié)構(gòu)的要求，并無實質(zhì)意義，故在翻譯英語的there be句型時，經(jīng)常有省譯there be現(xiàn)象，并且漢語句子的詞序有很大的變化，經(jīng)常存在倒譯現(xiàn)象。如：
