以those who開頭的句子沒有。those who在句子中間出現(xiàn)兩次，不表示條件或隱藏條件，如：

Such further grant or agreement is effective with respect to all of the pensons in whom the right it covers has vested under this subclause, including those who did not join in signing it.

沒有一個句子含有 no one。

以上統(tǒng)計并不全面，但從統(tǒng)計結(jié)果可以明顯看出，英語使用if 表示條件是最多的，其次是person who(當然不限于person)， 然后是where、whoever。還有其他方法，如：

In the event that the author's widow or widower, children, and grandchildren are not living...

當然，表示條件并不限于以上幾種方式，還有許多隱藏的表示方法。所以，我們在漢譯英時，漢語中的“的”字結(jié)構(gòu)不一定都翻譯為相同的格式，而是根據(jù)情況采取不同處理方法，但多數(shù)應該翻譯為if。

例1.

夫妻對婚姻關系存續(xù)期間所得的財產(chǎn)約定歸各自所有的，夫或妻一方對外所負的債務，第三人知道該約定的，以夫或妻一方所有的財產(chǎn)清償。（《婚銦法》第十九條第三款） 

原譯：

If husband and wife agree, as is known to the third party, to separately possess their property acquired during their marriage [ should be married ] life, the debt owed by the husband or the wife to a third party, shall be paid off out of the property separately possessed by him or her. (中國法制出版社）

對復雜的句子可以進行核心句分析：

If husband and wife stipulate they will separately own assets acquired during marriage;

If husband or wife owes a debt to a third party;

If the third party knows of this stipulation;

Husband or wife must pay the debt with the assets he or she owns.
