有法必依、違法必究是所有法治社會的基本要求，任何一個西方國家都不可能接受不受法律約束的民主自由。縱容暴力就是鼓勵違法，就是破壞法治。相信包括冰島在內(nèi)的任何國家政府都不會對暴力行徑和非法游行坐視不管。當前，止暴制亂、恢復秩序是香港最急迫的任務，也是絕大多數(shù)香港民眾的訴求。我們相信，香港特區(qū)政府有能力恢復法治和秩序，特區(qū)司法機構和警隊會堅決捍衛(wèi)香港法治。中國中央政府將繼續(xù)堅定支持特區(qū)政府依法施政，支持香港恢復法治與穩(wěn)定，支持香港的繁榮與發(fā)展。
It is a basic requirement of any society under the rule of law to enforce laws and regulations and prosecute any illegal acts. It is impossible for any western country to accept democracy and freedom unbounded by law. Conniving in violence is encouraging the violation of law and undermining the rule of law. No country or government in the world, including Iceland, would sit back and watch while violence and illegal demonstrations rage on. At present, the priority is to support the SAR Government in ending violence and restoring order, which also answers the appeal of the vast majority of Hong Kong people. We believe that the Hong Kong SAR Government has the ability to restore the rule of law and order. The SAR judiciary and the police force will resolutely defend the rule of law in Hong Kong. The Chinese Central Government will continue to firmly support the SAR Government in administering Hong Kong in accordance with the law, support Hong Kong in restoring the rule of law and stability for its prosperity and development.
維護香港繁榮穩(wěn)定不僅造福于香港人民，也符合國際社會的共同利益。希望冰島朋友們支持香港特區(qū)政府和廣大民眾向暴力行徑說不，守護法治，盡快恢復社會正常秩序，從而為發(fā)展經(jīng)濟、改善民生創(chuàng)造條件，使香港這一“東方之珠”在不久的未來再現(xiàn)輝煌。
It is in the interests of both Hong Kong people and the international community to have a prosperous and stable Hong Kong. I hope that the Icelandic friends will support the Hong Kong SAR government and its people to say NO to the violence, to protect the rule of law and restore social order in a timely manner and to pave the way for its economic development and the improvement of people's livelihood, so that Hong Kong, the "Pearl of the Orient" will once again shine brightly in the future.
