讓步狀語從句的譯法

英語中由 no matter what, whatever, whenever, wherever, whichever, whether, or 等引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句?？勺g為漢語的無條件分句。所謂無條件分句，即表示在任何條件下，主句的行為和動作都不受影響，或不會改變。漢譯時，常常譯為“不論”、“不管”、 “無論”等，或根據(jù)上下文靈活翻譯。如：
* No matter what the shape of a magnet may be, it can attract iron and steel.
不論磁體形狀如何，它都能吸引鋼鐵。
* The law of reflection holds good for all surfaces, whether rough or smooth, plane or curved.
反射定律對一切表面都適用，不管是粗糙的還是光滑的，不管是平面的還是曲面的。
* Concrete block walls will be provided wherever required for fire protection.
凡是需要防火的地方都將采用混凝土磚塊砌墻。
* However carefully boiler casings and steam pipes are sealed, some heat escapes and is lost.
鍋爐売體和蒸汽管無論怎樣仔細(xì)地密封，總有一些熱量要漏出來損失掉。
