舉例說明：
[Scenario: Chris Patten, the then European Commissioner for External Relations, speaks to the plenary session of the European Parliament on July 3rd 2000. We took stock of the European Union’s relations with Russia and the situation there, including in Chechnya, in the light of the recent EU-Russia Summit, which I think is regarded as fairly successful.
聽完整句話后，我們會感覺到這個句子很長，也比較復(fù)雜，不好理解。但如果我們注意按源語的意群來進(jìn)行聽辨，就會好理解得多。試著再聽一遍，注意辨別其意群：We took stock of/ the European Union’s relations/ with Russia/ and the situation there，/ including in Chechnya,/ in the light of the recent EU-Russia Summit，/ which I think/ is regarded as fairly successful.
現(xiàn)在我們試著以“條塊化”的方式來攝取句子的主干信息。主句的主、謂、賓分別是 “We…took stock of...relations...and the situation”,從句的主干是 “Successful”。以這種方式進(jìn)行聽辨理解，我們就能準(zhǔn)確地把捤句子所傳達(dá)的信息。
