前綴per-來(lái)自拉丁介副詞per，它的基本意思是through (通過(guò)），由此又引申出具有加強(qiáng)意義的throughout (貫穿），thoroughly(徹底），及含有貶義的to destruction (毀壞）等意思 (表示貶義的per-只出現(xiàn)在少數(shù)單詞中）。per-是原生前綴，主要與拉丁動(dòng)詞詞干結(jié)合，構(gòu)成動(dòng)詞及其相應(yīng)的名詞或形容詞。
