增詞的情況是各種各樣的?？偟囊?guī)則是：為了使譯文忠于原文，需要增加什么就增加什么。根據(jù)以上21例，大致歸納如下：

1. 增譯的部分在原文中雖找不出對(duì)應(yīng)詞語，但為了忠實(shí)傳達(dá)原文信息， 譯文非增不可（見例 1，19，20, 21)。

2. 增加動(dòng)詞（見例3，4，5,6，7)。

3. 增加名詞（見例2，13)。

4. 增加定語（見例9)。

5. 增加狀語或副詞（見例10，11)。

6. 增加代詞（見例12，16)。

7. 增加連詞（見例14，15，16,17，18)。漢譯英時(shí)，增加連 i司的情況是常見的，因?yàn)橛⒄Z的連詞比漢語使用得多。冠詞的情況更是如此。
