(2) draw on/upon sth. 使用；利用；運(yùn)用
1. We drew on her experience throughout the project.

2. I have to draw on my savings.
我只好動用我的儲蓄。
(3) draw sb. on (attract or entice sb.) 吸引或引誘某人
1. They drew investors on with visions of instant wealth.
他們吸引了大批投資者，使他們以為可以立刻發(fā)財(cái)致富。
2. We retreated to draw the enemy on.
我們后撤以誘敵深入。
(4) draw out （指白天的時間）漸長
Christmas passed and the days began to draw out.

(5) draw sb. out (about sth.) 鼓勵某人說話等
1. He is very shy and needs to be drawn out.
他很靦腆，需要鼓勵才肯說話。
2. I drew the old man out about his war experiences.

(6) draw up（指車輛等）停下來
The taxi drew up outside the house.

(7) (be) dressed up to the nines 穿著講究
There's Mrs Barton, dressed up to the nines as usual.

(8) dress sb. down (scold sb. ; tell sb. off) 訓(xùn)斥，斥退（某人）
If he behaves in that truculent fashion again, send him to me, and I'll dress him down.

(9) dress up 穿上盛裝

(10) in dribs and drabs 少量；一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)；零零星星
She paid me in dribps and drabe, not al at once.
